The principle

The instrument consists of three core components: a pyrolyzer, a gas chromatograph, and a data processing system.

The weighed sample to be analyzed is fed into the pyrolysis chamber, where it is rapidly heated and desorbed under a protective gas atmosphere. This causes the sample to quickly transform from a solid to a liquid state, and all its phthalate components are instantly vaporized. These vaporized components are then carried by the carrier gas into the chromatographic column. After being separated by the chromatographic column, they enter the detector (FID) one after another for detection. The detection signals of each component are processed using algorithms to calculate their respective contents in the sample.
